These facilities have been provided (and are maintained) by the Management of Regal Waters Country Club for the enjoyment of residents.  At no cost, residents become members of the Social Bowls Club by submitting a completed form to the secretary of the bowls club. 

All residents are encouraged to be active members of the Social Bowls Club.  The Social Bowls Committee (elected by members) has objectives consistent with company policy and is responsible for organised bowls activities. 

They organise a varied social programme throughout the year including Social Days amongst other Retirement Communities with games played either “at home” or “away”. These days are great times of fun and fellowship with the host club catering for the event.  

From time to time residents (and their visitors) may wish to have a “roll up” independent of any organised bowls club activities.  This will not be prevented in any way, provided the rules and etiquette established by the bowls club are observed and this “roll up” does not interfere with a bowls club organised activity.  The green is open for play from about 9.00am through daylight hours and footwear requirements do apply.  

Currently the Club plays bowls every Wednesday , Friday, and Sunday afternoons with these times coinciding with the Regal Waters Residents' Bar being opened.  Residents who wish to learn to play Bowls are welcome with the Club arranging special tuition days throughout the year. 

The Social Bowls Committee were able to secure a Government Grant to provide the installation of Retractable Shades around 3 sides of the Bowling Green.  These Shades are proving very beneficial to players especially during the summer months. 

The Social Bowls Committee also provided a Water Cooler at the Clubhouse adjacent to the Bowling Green for the benefit of all Residents.
